The 'Before' Snapshot: Key Issues

  • Visual Debt: The site relied heavily on generic stock imagery and outdated design patterns, such as heavy gradients and legacy icon sets from the early 2000s, which compromised brand credibility.
  • Architectural Mismatch: Originally a simple landing page, the platform failed to house its growing volume of complex technical information, leading to fragmented content and poor information architecture.
  • Cognitive Overload: Due to the site's structural limitations, highly technical and complex data was presented in an overwhelming way, making it difficult for the average user to digest.
  • Compliance & Data Risk: The platform lacked critical legal frameworks, including cookie consent and a clear privacy policy, despite actively collecting user data through contact forms, posing a significant compliance risk.

Role & contributions

As an in-house designer, I acted as the primary driver for the agency’s digital presence, transforming the website into a high-converting lead generation machine. My role went beyond visual design, focusing on aligning user experience with core business KPIs.

My focus & ownership:

  • Led data-driven UX audits, using Google Analytics to identify and eliminate friction points in the user journey.
  • Re-engineered booking and contact flows, which directly resulted in an increase in qualified client inquiries.
  • Developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, accelerating the validation process for new features.
  • Modernized the visual language and design system, ensuring consistency across all agency touchpoints.
  • Spearheaded developer handoffs, reducing implementation time and ensuring design accuracy.
  • Iterated on designs post-launch based on performance feedback, ensuring continuous product improvement.

Process & approach

My design process is iterative and data-informed, structured to balance complex business needs with seamless user experiences.

Discovery & Analysis: I began by conducting a deep-dive audit of user behavior data and conversion funnels. By identifying friction points in the existing information architecture, I established a clear scope for the redesign.

Information Architecture (IA): To manage the large volume of complex technical content, I re-engineered the site’s hierarchy. I mapped out intuitive user flows, ensuring that critical information was accessible within 2-3 clicks.

Iterative Prototyping: Utilizing Figma, I developed wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes. This allowed for rapid testing and refinement based on internal feedback and quantitative analytics.

Design System & Scaling: To ensure long-term consistency, I created a flexible design system. This allowed the agency to add new services and case studies without compromising visual integrity or brand image.

Results & impact

User Experience (UX) Impact:
The redesign achieved a significant improvement in usability metrics. Internal teams and clients reported higher satisfaction with the site's clarity and information architecture, making services easier to navigate.

Business Growth & Conversion:
Post-launch, the agency experienced a measurable increase in design-related project inquiries. By optimizing the service presentation and case study layouts, we successfully attracted a new segment of international clients and boosted overall conversion rates.

Strategic Long-term Value:
I established a scalable design system that served as the company’s primary sales and marketing asset. This foundation allowed the agency to maintain consistent branding and support future growth efforts effectively.
